Welcome to Practical Mommy!
A little bit about me…
I’m Kristen, a 30-something Mommy to 2 darling girls (2 and 4) and a newborn baby boy. I love reading, writing, trying new beers with my husband and binge watching series on Netflix.
I am a working mom (outside the home) in Denver, Co, originally from Southern California. I love Colorado – the seasons, the people, the things to do. But it was a big change from suburban southern Cali.

My daughter is a lot older than most of the families I’ve seen on your site…but she is special needs so sometimes I have situations that seem like I am dealing with a youngster under 10 in a teenager body. Also I have friends and family members with youngsters and no time to go surfing multiple sites for help so I guide them with info I get on sites like this.
Thanks for any help/advice you can give.
Hi Ellen,
Thanks so much for stopping by! I don’t have any experience with making gluten free recipes, but my friends at Grounded and Surrounded write about it often. You should check out this page in particular – http://www.groundedandsurrounded.com/gluten-free-no-way/. It is about Sarah’s journey into being gluten free and I think it can really help you. There are also links in the post to other gluten free resources. Good luck in your journey. Also, if you need any special needs resources, you can check out JustAnotherMom.net. Come back soon and let me know how you doing!

Hi Kristen, I’m Kristen Baisley, and I appreciate some of the practical advice you share on your blog. I just started out as a money-saving, cooking, get out of debt blogger, and I find your posts refreshing and encouraging. I have even shared one or two so far with my Facebook audience, and they love it. Thank you for inspiring others to be smart and practical with their money.
Hello! came across your blog from pinterest! LOVE it!! I was wondering what theme you use and if you could recommend someone to make an awesome logo like yours. Thanks!
Hi Heather! Right now I am using Jacqueline and Isabelle from Bluchic. I love their themes and you don’t need Genesis. I also made my logo on Picmonkey. You can make your own too. Here’s a video – http://www.momblogmentor.com/create-blog-header-picmonkey
