I don’t know why choosing a family car is so difficult. I mean, back in my single, care-free days, it was still hard to choose a car. But back then my biggest decision was what COLOR car should I choose. Now, 3 kids later, it’s all about car seat safety.
And the color. I mean, I’m still me right?!
This is me in front of our not-so-family-friendly truck right before we found out I was pregnant with baby #1.
As long as I can remember, I have been anti-minivans. I don’t know why, it just seemed like the ultimate joke on families. Once you have kids, you have to have a hideously unstylish car? No way. Not me! Not my family. I may live in a suburb but I’m not a minivan kind of mom.
BUT, 3 kids later…they’re not all bad right? They’re much more stylish than I remember (and come in lots of nice colors)…but the best part? THEY FIT ALL THE KIDS!!
2 car seats but we have 3 kids. Hmmmmm….
Ok, enough about minivans. I don’t even have one, although these days I would consider it. I have a large Ford Expedition and a small Ford Escape. One of my cars fits 3 kids…and one doesn’t. It makes life a little difficult, to say the least.
So, let’s just say I am shopping for a second car. (Which I am) This website makes it crazy easy to find out how to safely install a car seat in almost any car. It’s so simple – just enter your car’s Make, Model and Year and hit submit.

Do you have 3 or more kids? How did you handle having multiple carseats at a time? Are you a minivan mom or anti-minivan??
