Holiday Budget Free Printable Worksheet

If you’re like me you always have good intentions to start planning early for holiday gifts. You may have an imaginary list going in your head and you may have even started buying things (for example, Black Friday sales). But until you actually sit down and write things out, you will end up missing someone. Believe me, imaginary lists in your head just won’t do the trick! So I created this holiday budget free printable worksheet to help ALL of us get things organized.

Holiday budget Image

It’s a really simple list, and probably looks similar to that imaginary one you’ve been working on in your head. Just list out the people by name that you need to buy gifts for. Then add an idea or two about what you want to get them. Give yourself a budget for each gift. Then when the gift is bought, add in the actual price.

Not only will this list help you from not forgetting someone important, it will also help you save money. Christmas always costs more than I think it will. By creating a budget, you know ahead of time how much you will need. And if you original budget numbers come out too high, just adjust a few gifts or start over with prices. It’s a lot easier to make these kinds of decisions now, than when you are at the store surrounded by stressed out shoppers.

5 Minute Productivity Tips

Pro tip: don’t forget to budget for things like wrapping paper, ribbon, gift tags (or try these free printable gift tags), cards, shipping costs, gift bags, or tissue paper. All those extras can really add up over time. Think about buying that stuff on clearance after the holidays for next year. If you’ve done that in the past – great! Just remember to go through your stockpile early to see if you’re missing anything. You don’t want to be in the middle of a wrapping frenzy and realize you just ran out of tape!

Feel free to save this worksheet and print it as many times as you need. You might need a revision or two, or you may have more than 10 people to buy for. You can also use one sheets for all the wrapping extras and one for gifts. Maybe make one list for adults and one for kids.

Printables Hack for Moms

If you like printables, then you probably go through a lot of ink. I just found a great “hack” for you then. HP started something called Instant Ink which lets you subscribe to an ink service. Instead of running out of ink at the worst moment, or spending a small fortune on all the ink cartridges – now you can get in sent directly to you for a very small fee every month. It starts at $2.99 a month (that’s the plan I’m on). You can learn more on their website.

Let me know how you plan on using the worksheet in the comments below.
