S’mores are a standard camp fire dessert but these days you don’t even have to go camping to enjoy some chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers. I created this super simple (and slightly messy) S’mores Popcorn recipe for my kids. My preschooler loves it and asks for it all the time.

S'mores Popcorn

The ingredients you may already have on hand. The brass cups (known as Moscow Mule Mugs) you can find here.

Microwave Popcorn

1/2 cup chocolate chips

2 graham crackers

5-6 large marshmallows

Pop your popcorn in the microwave. Take it out of the bag and remove any un-popped kernels. Nothing worse than crunching on an un-popped kernel! Place the popcorn in a large bowl.

Break up the graham crackers and set them aside.

Microwave the chocolate chips for about 1 minutes. Take them out and test if they are melted. Keep microwaving at 30 second intervals until the chips are melted and you can easily stir it with a spoon.

Now the fun part! Drizzle the chocolate on top of the popcorn. Make sure you don’t pour it on too heavy and try to drizzle it all over the popcorn.

Place the marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl and microwave them for about 30 seconds. Test if they are melted and stir-able. It shouldn’t take long to melt these!

Next drizzle the marshmallow on top of the popcorn. Make sure you do this right after you take it out of the microwave. I will tell you right now – this might be difficult. Melted marshmallows stick to everything! Alternatively, you could just pour mini marshmallows (unmelted) on top of the chocolate popcorn or try marshmallow cream.

Lastly, add the graham cracker pieces on top of the popcorn. Yum! Grab handfuls (and prepare for the stickiness) or place some S’mores Popcorn in individual bowls or cups.
