5 Ways To Create The Perfect Summer Bucket List

Timing

One important question to ask yourself is – How much time do you have to complete your summer bucket list? If you set out at the very beginning of the summer (or earlier) you can get a little more creative or make long term goals for the summer. If it is the beginning of August, you might need to think a little more short term.

Age of your kids

Keep the ages of your kids in mind when you plan your summer bucket list. You want to choose things that are age appropriate. For example, my older daughter who is three might like to play on a [easyazon_link identifier=”B001KW084K” locale=”US” tag=”practmommy-20″]slip ‘n slide[/easyazon_link] but my toddler is a bit too young at only 19 months.

Travel

Plan travel around your existing commitments like work and summer school. Summer is a great time to see family and visit places you have never been to before. You can try a roadtrip, but remember to throw out your checklists and just enjoy the drive.

Think about your summers

What did you love to do as a kid that you want to share with your kids? Was there a special place you visited or a special activity that you did? What made the most impact on you growing up? For me it was the sounds of summer and looking at shapes in the clouds.

Share your special memories with your kids.

Pinterest

I love Pinterest and I created a board specifically for all things “SUMMER FUN.”

Create your own summer themed board that you can pin all your ideas to. Then pick and choose what looks best.

Bonus – four fun summer activities

Here are some quick and fun activities you can put on your summer bucket list that would be appropriate for a toddler or preschooler:
