Since I am a busy working mom, it seems like I only have 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there to get things done. These productivitytips are meant not only to help you, but to also keep me on track. I don’t let being busy stop me from getting things done, and you shouldn’t either. There is a lot you can do in 5 minute increments. If you want to be more productive this year, it’s time to get off Facebook!  This applies to other social media sites as well.  In fact, the number one thing mentioned in any list of productivity tips is to get off social media while you are working or need to work.  This includes cleaning and household chores.

Read Up On Being Productive

If you’re not sure on how to be productive, subscribe to various blogs that focus on helping you be productive. Having one tip a day delivered to your email is the way to go!

Keep Your Calendar Organized

Don’t have an organized calendar? It’s vital that you keep your calendar organized in order to stay productive. You’ll spend less time wondering what you’re supposed to be doing and more time focused on what you are supposed to be doing.  Productivity tips like this are truly at the heart of getting your life and tasks in order.

Spend Five Minutes Decluttering Every Day

If you have a bunch of buildup of stuff you don’t need, then spend five minutes each day decluttering. It might take a while to get used to getting rid of items, but you’ll thank yourself later. No one needs clutter in their life. Besides, less clutter makes your more productive.

Unsubscribe from the Unnecessary

Get rid of magazines, emails, blog posts, and Facebook notifications that are weighing you down. Get rid of apps on your cell phone or iPad that aren’t helping you be productive.

Set a Timer

Staying on task and being productive is hard enough without distractions. If time is of the essence, it’s time to set a timer to become more productive in your daily tasks. It’s amazing what you can get done when you don’t think you have much time to do it.

Prep When You Can

Running low on time? Prep when you can! You can be so productive in five minutes or less by just prepping things like school bags, lunch boxes, or dinner.

    Nice tips on staying productive.

    If I may add, you should read your emails in batches, so you don’t get distracted with responding to emails when you should be doing something else.
