  1. I used to get an allowance when I was younger for helping out around the house, but I don’t give one to my kids. Messed up, right? In my defense, though, I did a lot more work as a child than my kids do (slave labor, anyone??) and I also received a lot less goodies in day to day life. My children never want for anything- if they want gum, they get gum. If they want a new toy, they get it for birthdays or holidays. So, they don’t even feel the need to get an allowance. Crazy, right?? Writing this comment just made me realize how spoiled my kids are, and that I need to rectify that! Haha! 🙂
