If you are like me, you never have any time to shop for yourself. I can’t remember the last time I actually went to a store, by myself, and updated my wardrobe. It’s no wonder the mommy uniform is yoga pants, a t-shirt and a pony tail. That is the easiest outfit to buy and put together every morning. Find a new mommy style with Stitch Fix and have it shipped to your front door.

Stitch Fix Box - Practical Mommy

Find Your Personal Mommy Style With Stitch Fix

I was so excited when my sister-in-law told me about Stitch Fix. Stitch Fix is a personal shopping mail order experience. I didn’t have to find a way to get myself to a store and take a lot of time out of my day to put together some great outfits. Someone else did it all for me.

Once you sign up, expect to take 15-20 minutes setting up your Style Profile. This is how your stylist gets to know you and what you like, so spend some time with it and really let them know what you like and what you don’t like.

After I signed up, it took about 2-3 weeks to receive the box. It was hard to wait so long! I was so worried that I would hate everything, because I am so picky. At a store, I can take 20 things into the dressing room and come out with 1 item I like.

When you sign up, you pay a $20 deposit, which goes toward any items you end up purchasing from your box. But if it all goes back, you lose the $20 deposit.

This is what I received in my Stitch Fix box.

I told my stylist I needed work clothes for a business casual office environment. This is what I received:

Brand: Level 99, Patrick Chino Pant, Brown, $78

Verdict: Wow, I loved these pants! They fit perfectly. They are a straight legged pant, which I usually don’t like. Plus I am on the short side and they were the perfect length. Complete win.

Brand: Market and Spruce, Alan Cowl Neck Asymmetrical Cardigan, Tan, $58

Verdict: Another win! This asymmetrical style made me feel like a Cool Mom, while the fabric and color still felt like me.

Brand: Renee C, Malcolm Dolman Sleeve Slub Knit Shirt, Black, $48

Verdict: On the fence. I liked it, but I didn’t love it. And the price was a little high for something I didn’t love. On the other hand, it fit really well.

Brand: Pixley, Brentwood Tiered Striped Tank Top, $58

Verdict: This was my absolute favorite piece in the box. This shirt also had a cool asymmetrical style. I loved the colors and it fit perfectly.

Brand: Pixley, Jodie Crystal Embellished Hoop Earring, $32

Verdict: On the fence again. These earrings were damaged when I received them (one of the earring backs was broken). I liked the style, but thought they were a little overpriced.

I decided to keep everything except the black top and the earrings, and then added it all up. There is a 25% discount if you purchase all 5 items that I didn’t notice until then. If I purchased just the 3 items, my total would be $174. However, if I purchased all 5, my total would be $190.50 (just $16.50 more). So, I decided to buy all 5 items for the best price.

Since the earrings were broken I decided to email their Customer Support to see what I could do. I have a ton of earring backs, so it wouldn’t be a big deal to use another set. They emailed me back within a few hours and offered to let me return the earrings and still get 25% off the other 4 items.

I am so excited that I have new clothes, that fit perfectly and look great on me (if I do say so myself). And the best part is that I didn’t have to go anywhere to get them, they were shipped right to my front door.
