Not Everyone Is Happy About Brexit
In the UK, many people cheered because of the result, but there are also many who are very sad about it. 51.9 percent of people voted to leave the EU. But in the meantime, there is resistance against it, because many are unhappy about it and do not want to leave the EU. The UK includes the countries of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. And in Scotland and Northern Ireland, people are desperate to stay in the EU. Even the people in London, the capital of England, don’t want to leave the EU. Therefore, people in Scotland are now considering leaving the United Kingdom of Great Britain and becoming a separate state in order to be able to remain in the EU.
Head Of The Government Wants To Resign
The head of the British government, David Cameron, had advertised to remain in the EU. But now the people have decided otherwise and that is why he has resigned. Now a new leader must be found. For the UK, the time now begins to negotiate with the other EU countries about leaving. The rules of the EU say that there are two years for this. But the British don’t want to start negotiating so quickly and would rather gain time. However, the other countries do not agree with this. They say that Great Britain wanted to leave the EU and that they should do so as quickly as possible. That’s the right thing to do.
