Do you dream of being a Work at Home Mom but you just don’t know where to start? Have you read blog posts or books about how to be a Work at Home Mom, but they only touch the surface and don’t give you the detailed instructions you need to push you in the right direction?
This happens to me all the time! I want to learn something new and I scour the internet for information, but all I find are people talking about a subject without telling you HOW to do it.
Review – How to be a Work-at-Home Mom: The Happily Ever After Guide to Leading the WAHM Life by Prerna Malik
There are two ways for you to be a Work at Home Mom – work for someone else or work for yourself. When you work for someone else, it’s generally a standard office job that you do in your home. When you work for yourself, you start your own business. The book How to be a Work-at-Home Mom: The Happily Ever After Guide to Leading the WAHM Life by Prerna Malik focuses on starting your own business.
It is much harder to find a Work at Home job that a company is hiring for. It takes a lot of trust for an employer and that trust usually needs to be built up over time. There are also a lot of scams out there for Work at Home jobs, because they are in such high demand. Don’t worry – there is a section in the book all about avoiding scams. However, by starting your own business, you can guarantee you will do the work you love and hopefully make a living doing just that.
What I LOVED about this book
The book starts off with an impressive Table of Contents including how to choose your business, tips for living life as a Work at Home Mom, ways to grow your business and interviews with 4 successful Work at Home Moms. Stories from successful women in business are so motivating – I loved this part!
The tips in this book are detailed and targeted to exactly what you are looking for. A bonus to it being an ebook is that all of these specific tips include links to the specific Facebook groups or websites that are being described. Personally, Facebook groups are the number one place I use to connect with other bloggers and promote my work. However really great Facebook groups are hard to find, so having an insider tip on another great group is business gold.

Here is just one of the very specific tips from this book:
Do you use your email signature to talk about what you do and where people can find you. Most importantly, do you use links in your signature that prospects can click on. If not, do this NOW. You can either use the Signature feature that most email clients offer or get a customized email that also includes your latest blog post from Wisestamp. You’ll be surprised at how effective this free promotional tool is. – How to be a Work-at-Home Mom: The Happily Ever After Guide to Leading the WAHM Life by Prerna Malik
