How to be more productive on Instagram

My Mompreneur Nightmare

Let me take you back to a time when I was not so productive. I am a mom of 3 kids and I own not 1 but 2 businesses. As you can imagine, productivity is essential in my life. We live in an age where being on top of your game on Social Media is crucial if you want to have a successful online business.

I was STRESSED about the fact that my last Instagram post was over a week ago and I had not even started brainstorming ideas for a new post. When I look through my Instagram account, I see inconsistent content losing more and more engagement with each day that passes.

I told myself, “As soon as my children go to sleep, I will come up with 3 posts that I will remember to post this week.”

Later that day, my daughters thought it would be a great idea to give our 2 dogs a mud bath! Now, I not only have to get my kids cleaned up for dinner, but I also have to worry about giving our dogs a proper bath before letting them trek mud all over our house.

I kept telling myself, “There are not enough hours in the day.” Needless to say, my Instagram account was placed on the back burner.

When I decided to make Instagram a priority, everything changed.

How to Be More Productive on Instagram

The biggest decision I made was that I needed fewer decisions. What was keeping me stuck was feeling like I had to stop and THINK about what to post and find the best picture.

I decided to create a simple grid look for my Instagram account. I would post one quote or funny mom-saying and alternate with an image of me.

To keep things looking good, I also decided to only use my brand colors for the quotes and design them in bulk to use throughout the next month or two.

For my pictures, I decided to have “seasons” using the same images from one photo shoot at a time and then switch “seasons” as needed.

To stay down to earth and show “real life” pictures – those go in my Stories.

Letting go of the need to “sit down and think” removed a huge barrier to actually posting on Instagram.

Best Productivity Business Decision I Made

I’ve been using Tailwind for Pinterest for YEARS, and when I found out about Tailwind’s Instagram subscription, I could not wait to try it out! Just a heads up, your Instagram and Pinterest accounts are paid separately inside Tailwind.

I am so glad that Tailwind exists to save me loads of time and give me great results on Pinterest.

Let me share some of the reasons why I LOVE Tailwind for Instagram too:

Reason #1 – SmartBio

Tailwind has a Smart Bio feature. I love that I can see how many people click my links. Tailwind drives more traffic to my account 24/7 with an auto-updating bio link tool.

Reason #2 – Hashtag Finder

Tailwind has a built-in hashtag finder. It is so quick and easy to use. I can confidently optimize each post to stand out with SmartSchedule & Hashtag Finder. Tailwind’s Hashtag finder allows me to get the perfect mix of relevant hashtags to get discovered by more of my ideal followers. I can even have Tailwind automatically post my hashtags in the first comment if I’d rather not have hashtags published in my caption. Plus, SmartSchedule gives me suggestions on when MY audience is most engaged so that I can get the most out of every post.

Reason #3 – Auto-Posting

Auto-posting! A mom’s life is a busy life and the fact that Tailwind can automate my posts is my dream come true. I can schedule my posts ahead of time and forget about it. This tool keeps me on track with my Instagram goals.

Reason #4 – Visual Planning

Tailwind’s Visual Planning feature allows me to visually plan my feed with a drag and drop grid planner. Clicking on a visually pleasing Instagram account is so satisfying.

Reason #5 – Drag and Drop

Drag and Drop: It’s that easy. Tailwind has a 9-grid preview that allows you to easily drag and drop your posts to look perfect.

Reason #6 – Content Planner

The Content Planner tool is for the days that I’m not sure what to post. Gone are the days of staring at a blank page with no clue where to start. Tailwind’s content planner provides ready to use post ideas customized to my business type so I’m always ready to create. I can stay consistent with Tailwind’s built-in content plans and post inspiration.

The big question I know you’re thinking…

Is Tailwind approved by Instagram?

The answer is Yes! Of course we want to make sure we are following all the rules with the IG algorithm and protecting our account. Tailwind is an official Instagram Partner so it is completely safe.

New users can TRY TAILWIND FREE for up to 30 scheduled Instagram posts. It is not a time-based free trial so if you wanna take your time you can, but I am sure that like me, you will quickly realize that you can push out A LOT more content in a much shorter time with Tailwind.

Tailwind is Perfect for Mompreneurs

The key to that #mompreneur lifestyle is FLEXIBILITY. And the Tailwind app for Instagram knows all about flexibility.

  • App – There is an app so you can multitask easily.
