Here are several reason a mom may want to start a blog.

A stress reliever: Like it was mentioned earlier, a blog is the perfect place to relieve stress. Banging away at the keyboard can take away all of the stress one has felt during the daytime. Stress can be relieved several ways and a blog may be just what you need to relieve yours.

A hobby: There are some moms out there who literally have no hobbies. All they do is take care of children and they are looking for an outlet of some sort to help relieve their idling thumbs. Not that a mom really has much time for idling thumbs, but a hobby is always nice.

Extra money: Keep in mind that a blog does take time to build up financially, but once you do, there’s money to be made from it. Perhaps a mom wants a way to be home with her kids, but still make some sort of an income and she can do that with blogging.

Help her through an experience: There are moms who have spouses deployed overseas. There are moms who are dealing with a child with a chronic illness. Sometimes blogging is just an awesome way to make it out of a time period of life alive. A blog could be the one thing that a person can look back to re-experience a hard time in their life. Sometimes blogs have the power to be truly healing.

Blogs are fun: You got it! Blogs are fun and it’s a fun community to be a part of. If you’re a mom who spends a lot of time at home and not a lot of time around adults, start blogging. Blogging can be a great way to have a little fun in life.

Experience: There are moms who get to travel the world and they want a way to document it. They can start a blog to document their travels. There are dozens and thousands of blogging moms who are travel bloggers. Down the road, you may even get experiences just because you’re an awesome travel blogger.

To get better at something: If you’re a mom who is semi-good at photography, maybe you want to start a blog to document your progress.

Support a business: Believe it or not, but blogging is a great way for a mom to support her business. Blogs are great for search engine and for someone to showcase their products.

Blogging surely isn’t for the faint of heart, but it’s a great thing to do. Whether you’re a mom who wants to start a blog to relieve stress or to keep in touch with her family, there’s no right or wrong.
