Step 1 – Head over to PicMonkey.com

Hover over the Design icon and then select a 4×6 page. This is a half sheet of regular printer paper, so you can print two per sheet.

Step 2 – Add Text

On the very far left you have some icon options. The Tt option is for Text. Select that option and then find your favorite font. It might not be easy – there are so many to choose from!

NOTE: PicMonkey is free to use and download, however there is a membership for $4.99 per month that allows you access to some extra fonts and other things. Anything with a little crown beside it is included in the membership and you can’t use it without paying for the membership. Everything I used in this tutorial is free at the time I created it.

Step 3 – Add Graphics

Making it cute was always my worry. But I didn’t have to worry – there are thousands of clip art images available on Etsy for a very reasonable price. Look for the perfect images for your project, and then use them on PicMonkey by selecting the Butterfly icon and the clicking on Your Own at the very top.

You can move the images around and resize them however you want until it’s perfect. You can also move the text around the same way.

step 3

There you have it – a personalized, and cute birthday invitation that will wow all your kid’s friends. After the party, you can come back and create a matching Thank You card.

Printables Hack for Moms

If you like printables, then you probably go through a lot of ink. I just found a great “hack” for you then. HP started something called Instant Ink which lets you subscribe to an ink service. Instead of running out of ink at the worst moment, or spending a small fortune on all the ink cartridges – now you can get in sent directly to you for a very small fee every month. It starts at $2.99 a month (that’s the plan I’m on). You can learn more on their website.
