1. Choose Regions With A Moderate Climate
When traveling with your children, it is advisable to avoid regions with a too hot climate. This is especially true when traveling with infants. After all, you want to experience as much as possible and not spend half the day in the room because the heat outside is scorching.
2. Get Your Kids Used To Flying Slowly
If you have never flown with your children before, it is advisable not to choose a destination with a flight time of 10 hours. Your kids may not tolerate the flight and cry on a spit – and all parents know how much it hurts in the heart when kids cry and they are helpless. A flight of a few hours should not be a problem.
3. Choose The Accommodation Wisely
The vacation should of course be fun for the children, but still the togetherness of the parents should not be neglected. In the family hotel room, where all dwell on usually less than 35 square meters, this is however not at all so simple. Besides one may leave the small ones also not alone in the room and sit even still 100 meters further at the bar. With a vacation apartment or a vacation home, parents are a bit more flexible.

During a hotel vacation, you can “leave” your children at the entertainment – if they are old enough and feel like it – but otherwise you have to keep an eye on them all the time. Especially in high season, hotels are often crowded and noisy, so you have to be careful when swimming in the pool or the sea. Relaxation is out of the question!
In a vacation home, on the other hand, children can move around much more freely. Especially in countries like Denmark, there is a great vacation home culture. In the Blavand region, vacation homes for families are often even equipped with their own pools and saunas and are located just a few hundred meters from the sea. Activities such as kite flying or hiding in the dunes are not neglected! As an evening activity, board games can be played and when the little ones fall tired into bed, there is still enough time for the parents to take two or even three saunas – knowing that the kids are safely in their beds next door. A little tip on the side: Why don’t you go on vacation with friends or grandparents – there are also vacation homes that offer space for 10 people or more.
