If November was the warmest November of all time just a few days ago, winter has now descended on Germany with freezing temperatures. In the low mountain ranges, a lot of snow has already fallen and slippery roads awaited the surprised motorists over the weekend and this morning when they wanted to drive to work. But what would the Christmas season be without winter?

Snow And Ice Cause Chaos- And For Joy
For drivers, the onset of winter is a pain every year. They have to get up earlier than usual to scrape the frozen ice off the windows of their cars, they have to allow more time to drive to work or take the kids to school. And even with all this effort, there’s still a queasy feeling when they drive off, because snow and ice may look great, but unfortunately, they make the roads very unsafe, as cars skid in the snow and ice, even when driving slowly. Over the weekend alone, there were many traffic accidents in which some people were injured.
The First Snow: The Children Are Happy
But there are also very nice things about the onset of winter: where it has snowed, children can already build little snowmen, you can organize a snowball fight or just enjoy the snowfall. At higher altitudes, you can even get out your sled and take your first ride of the winter. It is very important to wear the right clothes in winter. Your parents will help you with that, but you can also take care of it. Sturdy winter shoes, a thick winter jacket and gloves are part of the winter equipment. So the cold is then also really fun.
