Ramadan The Month Of Rest
During Ramadan, Muslims fast. During this time, they think of their God Allah and hope to find a bit of peace. This year they started Ramadan on June 6. During this month, Muslims who believe in Allah always did not eat or drink anything from morning to night. Only when the sun had set, they then ate. This is not so easy, because now in the summer the day is particularly long and one had to get along many hours without food and drink.
Now They Celebrate
But now Ramadan is over and the Muslims now begin a celebration. This festival is called Eid al-Fitr or Eid. For three days there is now especially delicious food and lots of sweets. Even gifts are distributed on Eid, which especially pleases the children.
