The result was 1-1 after a great goal by Kankava in the 53rd minute. And the German team did not manage to get back into the game. Only the substitution of Schürrle against Max Kruse in the 76th minute brought more impetus in front again and so Kruse redeemed the fans with his goal to 2-1 in the 79th minute.

Germany thus won the group and qualified for the European Championship in France in the summer of 2016 with 22 points, ahead of Poland (21 points) and Ireland (18 points).
