Summer time can be hard for Mom Bloggers. Kids are at home, the weather is beautiful and you want to spend time with them outdoors, but you don’t want to ignore your blog and your audience either. It’s tough to stay organized and have a mindful plan for your blog when life is pulling you in so many directions.

5 Ways For Mom Bloggers To Enjoy The Summer With The #ETHANprojectDisclosure: I received an advance copy of the #ETHANproject Blogger Kit for purposes of this review.

The #ETHANproject stands for Enjoy The Here And Now. Sarah and Sammi from Grounded & Surrounded realized that the summer time can be really hard for mom bloggers and they decided to create something to make things a little easier.

It’s a 10 week challenge starting in June for mom bloggers and their readers to enjoy the summer with their family. Each week there is a new challenge to enjoy a different aspect of the summer and your family.

A few of the challenges are:

Challenge #1 – Enjoy Friendship

Challenge #2 – Enjoy the View

Challenge #3 – Enjoy the Flavor

Each Friday the #ETHANproject bloggers will share their posts following the prompts to start the conversation. They will share their posts with the hashtag on social media and encourage other moms to follow along with the challenge and share their stories.

Facebook groups are my favorite way to network with other bloggers. Get to know your fellow #ETHANproject bloggers and share what works and doesn’t work in your blogging life. Connect with your readers and hear their stories related to the weekly challenges.

Get out of your comfort zone

The challenges are designed to get you out of your comfort zone and try new things. Enjoy all aspects of the summer, not just the ones you usually do.

Be a more conscious parent

Take the time you need to STOP and think about your parenting this summer. Do something special with your kids and enjoy the here and now.

Share in a community

You’re not alone this summer. Other moms will be following along with the challenges, sharing posts and pictures on social media and reconnecting with their kids. Share in that community feeling along with us.

Writing prompts and wallpapers

Sometimes it helps to focus your thoughts by writing things down. Follow along with the weekly challenges and post your pictures and your “posts” on Facebook in the the group or on your own personal page. This is also a great way to start blogging if it is something you’ve considered before.

Can you be part of the FB group without buying the kit? B/c looks like the sale is over, but I thought maybe I could join the fun on FB?

I would LOVE to be an #ETHANproject blogger because as a mom of a 4-year-old, a blogger, and virtual assistant – I have my hands full! I have a hard time “Enjoying the here and now” and would love to connect with other bloggers who feel the same way.

I entered! Thanks for sharing!! I am always at home with three kids- they don’t go to school yet so it’s always a little hectic at home. And they are all boys! 🙂

Bless your heart Christina! My two girls are going to both be in elementary next year and I am finally re-discovering my sanity. I can’t imagine 3 boys. I am glad you found Kristen’s blog, it is full of so much encouragement.

I am one of those mommies who tend to be all work and no play. During the summer, I try to plan weekly themes to keep them learning and having fun. But it slowly fades away. This should help me to not only pause for a moment to enjoy my three kiddos but to help other moms too by sharing my experiences through my blog. Thank you so much!!!

Samantha. I am just like you. I have grand plans, but somehow they all fade away all too soon! I am hoping the #ETHANproject will help to keep us on track this summer.

Between my blog and va work lately it seems like all I do is work. It hit me hard yesterday when my daughter came home with a paper that said Mommy is… and she chose busy. My goal this summer is to try to focus on them more than the work. It will have to wait.

Well, this is just fantastic. Thanks for sharing. As suggested even in the name of my blog, anitacatchmybreath, finding time for everything – even the blogging that I love – is difficult. Hopefully, this will keep me going strong through the summer months with all 3 kids at home!
